Pickleball Magazine has some great content in it. The Bros thought we would highlight five sections we really enjoyed. We thought it would be great to provide a taste of the magazine for Pickleball fans. And this will give you a better idea of what is in the magazine. Enjoy.1.The first thing the Bros loved was all the advertisements in the magazine.
This could be a strange thing to say, as we usually hate ads. But seeing all the latest Pickleball paddles, balls and equipment was super cool. We discovered new paddles, new brands and new equipment we had never heard of before. Two advertisements we loved was the new ball for Vulcan, which is the new official ball for the MLP.
And we couldn’t resist the Paddle swatter. Too cool.2.It was great to see the CEO of USA Pickleball in the magazine. He covers improvements in the Pickleball organisation, along with other programs to further enhance our great game. The transparency is great, and any news or updates on Pickleball from the top is always interesting.
We just wonder when the CEO starts to talk about the Pickleball Olympics in 2032….3.The Bros read a bit of Pickleball news, so we thought we were pretty knowledgeable. But within seconds, we were blown away with the diverse articles in the magazine. There was so much great information. For example, we enjoyed the article on 17 year old player Jorja Johnson and the age limit to go pro.
Or the Pickleball moves, the Erne and Nasty Nettle, were named after real players. And the players discuss the origins of these famous moves. And there is a great story on 13 year old super player Aline Morales, described as a “rare talent”. All of these articles were really interesting and also very cool.
These items may seem trivial, but it was information we weren’t aware of. It is part of the Pickleball culture and these fun facts provides fuel for Pickleball banter between games. And the Bros love a bit of banter.4.There are some fantastic feature articles in Pickleball Magazine. Instructional articles on improving your Pickleball technique are well done.
As are the features on up and coming players. But the big-daddy of this issue is the cover story about Pickleball in Prison. This article was pretty amazing. The Bros have covered multiple studies on Pickleball and its positive impact on mental health. And the positives on general health and wellbeing for the elderly or people with medical conditions.
It is fascinating to see the positive impact of Pickleball on prisoners. The Feature specifically covers a movie about Roger BelAir. He teaches Pickleball in prison and his mission is to help prisoners using the power of Pickleball. It’s such a great story. The Bros even supported the Pickleball in Prison Kickstarter campaign which was a success! The funds will help complete the movie, and it can bring a lot of visibility to Pickleball, and how it helps people from all walks of life.
Fantastic article, fantastic cause – the Bros loved this one and recommend you check out this movie when it comes out.5.Pickleball is in its Wild West phase, with new tech, paddles and balls coming out.
